 OptiDoc2™ C.O.L.D. Report Server delivers the performance of large-scale report processing systems at a fraction of the price.  It can be scaled to fit workgroup or enterprise size installations.  OptiDoc C.O.L.D. Report Server is also designed to operate in large enterprise installations with no customization required.  Database access is accomplished through ODBC, rather than using third party database drivers.  This eliminates the need for a specially configured application specific database client at each workstation.

 The , OptiDoc C.O.L.D. Report Server can form the basis for a “report only” application or integrate directly with imaging and document applications to present reports, scanned images, and third party documents to the end user.  OptiDoc C.O.L.D. Report Server can format and store the reports for viewing by the OptiDoc View Station client.

 Processed reports can be viewed as text only or they can be viewed with an overlaid form by using the image overlay feature.  This allows reports to be viewed and printed with their original forms without having to use blank forms

 OptiDoc C.O.L.D. Report Server supports ASCII and ANSI reports directly.  Other report types can be supported through the use of custom filters that allow unsupported file types to be converted to a standard report type.

In addition to ANSI and ASCII, OptiDoc2™ Enterprise Report Server also supports IRF, a new type of report.  IRF reports are preprocessed reports that reduce the number of steps required for processing.  This allows for higher performance and greater flexibility in report processing.  IRF reports also allow images to be processed in bulk.  Scanning services can also generate IRF reports providing a simple method for automated indexing of pre-scanned documents and facilitates the use of off site third party scanning services.
